OLEYRES
Canton : Vaud
Incorporated into : 2011 Avenches
Official blazon
Parti d'argent et de gueules, à l'arbalète d'or brochant en bande.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted in 1929.
The red and silver colours refer to the diocese-state of Lausanne, to which the area historically belonged. The crossbow indicates that the villagers were well known for their skills with this weapon.
