In Weiss schwarze Brücke, bewehrt mit zwei bedachten schwarzen Türmen, der rechte höher und mit bedachter Pechnase

Origin/meaning

The arms are derived from the oldest known seal of the city, dating from 1358. The seal showed a natural castle, which was stylised in the arms. The arms were devised in 1917 and officially adopted in 1941.
