Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted on June 28, 2002.
The arms are a combination of the arms of the historical regions that form the present province; In the upper left the arms of Bac(s)ka and in the lion of the Banat Region. In the lower half the deer of the S(ze)rem region.
