Heraldry of the World Civic heraldry of Germany - Deutsche Wappen (Gemeindewappen/Kreiswappen) |
THALHEIM/ERZGEBIRGE
State : Sachsen
District (Kreis) : Erzgebirgskreis (until 2008 Stollberg)
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted in 1925, when Thalheim received city rights. The three pine trees, however, were already used on the local seals for at least 300 years. The trees probably indicate the many forests in the area.
Seal from around 1900 |
The arms in the Kaffee Hag albums +/- 1925 |
