Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on May 24, 2006.
The arms show the famous icon of Pivašiūnai, said to have miraculous powers. Blue is used as one of colours of Virgin Mary. The hill refers to the local landscape and the location on a hill of the church storing the icon.
