HINTERSTODER

State : Oberösterreich
District : Kirchdorf an der Krems

Wappen von Hinterstoder/Arms (crest) of Hinterstoder
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on October 30, 1967.

The three mountains in the base refer to the three mountain clusters in the municipality; the Spitzmauer, Priel-Stock and Warscheneck mountains. The crossed crescent is taken from the arms of the Spital am Pyhrn Abbey, which possessed a large part of the municipality for many centuries.

Literature : Baumert, H.E. : Oberösterreichische Gemeindewappen, Linz, 1996.
