MÜNZKIRCHEN

State : Oberösterreich
District : Schärding

Coat of arms (crest) of Münzkirchen
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on September 21, 1959.

The red wolf is taken from the arms of the State of Passau, to which the municipality historically belonged. The three pine trees refer to the large forests in the municipality, especially the Sauwald.

Literature : Baumert, H.E. : Oberösterreichische Gemeindewappen, Linz, 1996.
