====Origin/meaning====
The arms were officially granted on July 15, 1993.
 
The golden lion is the lion of the Counts of Schwarzburg who ruled the village for many centuries. <br>
The water mill wheel symbolises the formerly important water mills in the municipality, which have been in use from the middle of the 15<sup>th</sup> century until the 1920s.
 
The grapes symbolise the Weinberg (wine mountain) mentioned in the first half of the 14<sup>th</sup> century near the village.
