History: Raised in 1902 as the North of Ireland Imperial Yeomanry, renamed in 1908 as North Irish Horse. After Service in World War 1 it ws during the inter-war years reduced to one man. It was reraised for service in World War II and disbanded in 1946. In 1947 the Regiment was reformed and in 1967 disbanded as a Regiment and reorganised as D Squadron Royal Yeomanry.
