English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on April 3, 2017.
The village was granted by Duke Albrecht I in 1229 to the Order of Saint John of the Hospital at Jerusalem, who sold it in 1250 to the Reinfeld Abbey. The cross in the upper half is the symbol of the Order. The hill refers to a former small monastery on the Klosterberg (monastery-hill) near Disnack.
The lower half refers to the importance of agriculture.
