Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on December 10, 1975.
The ibex is taken from the arms of Rupert von Bodman (1687-1728), Abbot of the Kempten Abbey, to which the village belonged for a long time. Previously the village was part of the State of Augsburg, which is shown by the silver and red divided left half.
