LANGENHORN
State : Schleswig-Holstein
District (Kreis) : Nordfriesland (until 1970 Husum)
Amt : Amt Mittleres Nordfriesland (until 2008 Amt Stollberg)
German | Gespalten von Gold und Blau, überdeckt mit zwei grindlos miteinander verbundenen Hörnern, von denen das vordere rot, das hintere golden tingiert ist. |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on March 18, 1991.
The arms show a horn, a canting element. The horn is shown in an elongated form, making it also canting for the first part of the name (Lang=long). The colours are derived from the colours of the region Nordfriesland in which the municipality is situated.
