EPE

State : Nordrhein-Westfalen
District (Kreis) : Borken (until 1974 Ahaus)
Incorporated into: 1974 Gronau

Wappen von Epe (Gronau)/Arms (crest) of Epe (Gronau)
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on February 3, 1938.

The silver and blue divided shield is taken from the arms of the Lords of Wüllen, who had their castle in the town until the 16th century. The wheatear and the spindle symbolise agriculture and industry in the town.
