The arms were officially granted on ?

The Great Bustard is a rare bird, which in the 1990s could still be found in the area, hence it was taken as a typical symbol for the nature in the region. The sword is a symbol for the local regional court in medieval times which was held in the village. The bordure symbolises the medieval fortifications around the village.
