GÜNTHERSDORF

State : Sachsen-Anhalt
District (Kreis) : Saalekreis (until 2008 Merseburg-Querfurt)
Incorporated into: 2010 Leuna

Wappen von Günthersdorf/Arms (crest) of Günthersdorf
Official blazon
German In Silber drei blaue Eichenblätter im Dreipaß gestellt, rechts und links je eine Eichel.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted on October 18, 1995.

The arms are based on the older seal of the village which already showed an oak branch. This refers to the Emperor Wilhelm Oak in the village, planted on March 22, 1896. The arms were also designed for the 100-year anniversary of the oak in 1996.
