HOTTON

Province : Luxembourg
Additions: 1977 Fronville, Hampteau, Marenne

Armoiries de Hotton

Official blazon

De sinople au pont de quatre arches mouvant des flancs de l'écu posé entre deux triangles, de le tout d'argent.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on December 18, 1991.

As none of the previous municipalities used arms, a bridge with four pillars (one for each) was chosen. The municipality is situated on the Ourthe river, so a bridge was a logical symbol.

The two small bars are taken from the locally important De Lardinois family.
