Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted in 2005.
Unfortunately we have no information on the meaning or origin of these arms yet.
If you have any information on the origin or meaning of these arms, or have additional images that you want to share, please mail us your information !
The first arms were granted on October 12, 1794.
These arms were based on the arms of Armenia, as the area was settled by Armenians. The chief shows the Russian Imperial arms.
In 1872 new arms were proposed, showing St. Gregory as a canting element and in a free quarter the arms of the Kherson province. These were never adopted.
