BUZĂU
District/county (județ) : Buzău
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on April 5, 2006.
The palace is now Buzau City Hall. Weapons signify the bravery of the inhabitants, since the Middle Ages, until the end of World War II. The wavy bar represents the Buzau river.
The Phoenix bird signifies the vitality of the inhabitants who, seated in the path of evil, with the city completely destroyed three times in the course of history, have been reborn from their own ashes.
The mural crown with seven crenellated towers means that the locality has the rank of municipality, county seat.
