Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on October 9, 2003.
The factory and the locomotive are reminiscent of the city's industrial tradition, which developed over two centuries around the metallurgical industry and at the end of the 19th century, around the production of locomotives.
The oak leaf with acorns expresses the forest richness of the area, the tourist potential and the ecological perspective of the locality.
The lyre is the symbolic image of the cultural activity of the locality, with traditions and documentary attestation from 1869, of the first Reunion of songs and reading.
The mural crown with seven crenellated towers shows that the locality has the rank of county seat municipality.
