RODNA
District/county (județ) : Bistrița-Năsăud
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on December 11, 2013.
The fir branch represents the mountain area and the forest richness of the area. The stone tower represents the ruins of the 13th century Dominican basilica, which was destroyed during the Tatar invasions.
The silver mountain with shovel and a mining pickaxe symbolizes the traditional occupation of the inhabitants, the exploitation of silver.
The mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.
