KAMAJAI
County : Panevėžys
Municipality : Rokiškis
Lithuanian | blazon wanted |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on June 23, 2005.
The cross with a rectangle refer to the Market Square of the town, now a protected monument. The thrush symbolizes the priest and poet Antanas Strazdas ("strazdas" refers to "thrush" in Lithuanian), which lived his last years and deceased in Kamajai. The red field symbolizes blood spilled for the country.
