Around the Tower a Shield shaped with the Motto (Supposedely that of Charlemange) "In Scelus Exsurgo Sceleris Discrimina Purgo" translates roughly as "I fight against Agression and punish the Agressor". | |||

Origin/meaning
The Tower and Sword symbolises the Power of the Forces of AFCENT to defend the "Fortress Europe" against Attack. In the gateway of the Tower the Letters CE for Central Europe. Around the Tower a Shield shaped with the Motto (Supposedely that of Charlemange) "In Scelus Exsurgo Sceleris Discrimina Purgo" translates roughly as "I fight against Agression and punish the Agressor".
