The arms were granted on July 31, 1936.


State : [[Saarland]]<br/>
The arms  show the lion of Nassau-Saarbrücken, as the city was part of the county of Nassau-Saarbrücken, holding a hammer. Dudweiler was already mentioned in the 9<sup>th</sup> century but became important in the 17<sup>th</sup> century as a mining town. Dudweiler became a city in 1962. The hammer in the arms represent the mining in the city.

Incorporated into: 1974 [[Saarbrücken]]

The arms show the lion of Nassau-Saarbrücken, as the city was part of the county of Nassau-Saarbrücken, holding a hammer. Dudweiler was already mentioned in the 9th century but became important in the 17th century as a mining town. Dudweiler became a city in 1962. The hammer in the arms represent the mining in the city.
