Escudo de prata, com as cinco quinas de Portugal, sendo as duas laterais apontadas ao centro, carregadas de onze besantes, postos três, dois, três, dois e um; acantonados de quatro cabeças de frente, sendo a primeira e quarta de carnação branca coroadas de ouro e a segunda e terceira de carnação negra com turbantes de prata. Coroa mural de prata de cinco torres. Listel branco com a legenda a negro " CIDADE DE SILVES ".

The arms were officially granted on October 9, 1959.
