FERREYRES
Canton: Vaud
Official blazon
D'azur au fer à cheval d'or, cloué de sable.
Origin/meaning
Already in Roman times there were ovens and blast furnaces in the area. This is also reflected by the name, which is derived from ferraria (iron mine) or ferreria (forge). The horshoe was chosen in 1928 as a symbol of the forges and smithies.
