State : Schleswig-Holstein
District (Kreis) : Nordfriesland (until 1970 Husum)
Amt : Amt Mittleres Nordfriesland (until 2008 Amt Stollberg)

Langenho.jpg

Official blazon

Gespalten von Gold und Blau, überdeckt mit zwei grindlos miteinander verbundenen Hörnern, von denen das vordere rot, das hintere golden tingiert ist.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on March 18, 1991.

The arms show a horn, a canting element. The horn is shown in an elongated form, making it also canting for the first part of the name (Lang=long). The colours are derived from the colours of the region Nordfriesland in which the municipality is situated.
