REINSDORF

State : Thüringen
District (Kreis) : Kyffhäuserkreis

Reinsdor.jpg

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on September 6, 1994.

The first quarter shows a trefoil, which is taken from the seal of the local church. The trefoil was also considered as the village symbol for a long time. The sword and key are the symbols of St. Paul and St. Peter respectively, the patron saints of the village. The left half of the arms shows the gold and black bends of the Von Trebra family. This family had large possessions in the present municipality. The family also played a major role in the development of the village.
