BUCHHOLZ IN DER NORDHEIDE

State : Niedersachsen
District (Kreis) : Harburg
Additions : 1972 Dibbersen, Holm, Holm-Seppensen, Reindorf, Seppensen, Sprötze, Trelde

Wappen von Buchholz in der Nordheide

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted in 1951.

The wall in the base symbolises the rapid development of the city in the mid 20th century. The upper half shows two crossed horse-heads, a typical symbol used on the roofs of farms in the area. The beech branch is a canting element (Buche=beech).
