NIEDER-RODEN
State : Hessen
District (Kreis) : Offenbach (until 1973 Hanau)
Incorporated into : 1977 Rodgau
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted in 1949 and show in the right part the arms of the Lords of Eppstein and on the left side the wheel of the State of Mainz. The first dynasty ruled the area until 1425 when it became part of Mainz. The tower is the local church, which has an interesting architecture.
As there were no old seals or arms of the town, the arms had to be newly devised.
