Arms of Børkop

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted in 1975.

The wheel is a water mill wheel, symbol for the formerly important water mill in the municipality. The three fleur-de-lis are derived from the arms of the historical Holman herred, and known from a seal from 1584. The colours are derived from the arms of the noble Prip family, who lived in the village of Sellerup in the municipality.
