In Rot mit einem goldenen Bord ein goldener Ritter auf einem aufgerichteten golden gezäumten silbernen Ross, mit der silbernen Fahne mit rotem Hochkreuz einen schwarzen Drachen tötend.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on May 25, 1993.

The arms show the local patron saint, St. George, killing a dragon. The bordure refers to a possible meaning of the Burg part of the name, which may come from Bort, meaning border.
