Origin/meaning :
The arms were granted on November 6, 1979.

The chief is derived from the seal of Hermann von Vlisheim from 1342, which showed three rings.

The cross is the symbol of the local church, which is devoted to the Holy Cross. The pillar in the lower part symbolises the Roman inhabitation in the municipality. In 1825 a large Roman villa was excavated in the village.
