The old (below) arms were granted on July 10, 1908, the new arms on October 6, 1952.

Wappen von Edenkoben/Arms (crest) of Edenkoben

The oldest seal of Edenkoben dates from 1543. The seal showed three shields, one with the quartered arms of Pfalz (lion) and Bayern (diamonds), one with the arms of the Cistercian convent of Heilsbruck, and the third a letter H and a crosier. These shields indicate that the village was a possession of the convent, whereas the whole territory was part of the Pfalz.

After the reformation a new seal was made, which showed four shields. One with the lion of the Pfalz, one with the diamonds and one with an orb, all for the Pfalz. The fourth showed a letter O around an E, for the old name Oedenkoben.

These symbols were combined to a new seal in the 17th century, which showed the new arms. In the 19th century the village adopted arms with a diamond of Bayern, in which a golden diamond with the E, see below. These arms were used until 1908. In 1908 only the combination O and E was granted. Since 1938 the city uses the old 17th century arms, but it took until 1952 before the arms were officially granted.
