Official blazon

Het schild geplaatst tussen twee onderaan gekruiste hulsttakken van natuurlijke kleur.
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on July 20, 1989.
Hulshout did not have own arms until the merger in 1977.
The arms combine symbols for Hulshout in the 1st and 4th quarter, for Westmeerbeek in the 2nd quarter and for Houtvenne in the 3rd quarter.
Hulshout is represented by the arms of the Merode family, lords of the region from the 15th-19th century. The seals of Hulshout never showed own symbols, only the arms of Merode, which thus are a logical choice.
The three lion heads are the arms of the Van der Zype family, see Westmeerbeek. The third quarter shows the arms of the Blereau family, see Houtvenne. Both are now shown in proper colours, unlike on the previous arms of the two villages.
