Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on February 17, 1995.
The town name comes from the Livonian "vang" ("meadow").
Vangazi was first time mentioned in 17th century. and town rights were granted in 1991.
The green color symbolizes that environs of Vangazi are rich with woods; also it is a color of freedom and is a canting element. The pine means the character of those woods. The blue color symbolizes the abundance of rivers and waterways. The yellow color symbolizes the sun and wealth.
