Punaisessa kentässä alainen hirsi ja sen yläpuolella kaksi piilukirvestä ristikkäin, kaikki hopeaa.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on December 12, 1952.
The axes refer both to the importance of forestry and the timber industry, as well as to St. Olaf, the local patron saint. The silver bar refers to the Orjanhirsi village, hirsi meaning bar.
