PICKFORDS LTD.
Official blazon
Arms: Lozengy Or and Azure a Cross Gules surmounted of another pointed Gold.
Crest: Upon a Helm with a Wreath Or and Azure a Pack Horse Or harnessed and resting its dexter foreleg on a Wheel Gules the pack charged with a Key ward downwards Or.
Motto: SECURUS FIDEI
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted in 1988 (?).
The lozengy background is intended to represent packing cases. The crosses symbolize the four points of the compass upon a cross-roads, and the crest shows the traditional Pickfords' pack horse, the wheel representing movement and the key trust and security.
The motto means 'Secure by trust'.
