Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted in 1937.
Eversberg developed around a castle of the Counts of Arnsberg and received city rights in 1242. The oldest seal dates from the end of the 13th century and already shows the combination of a canting boar (Eber) and the arms of the Counts of Arnsberg.
