The arms were officially granted on December 13, 1965.

The church in the right half of the arms is the local church. The two crossed keys are the arms of [[Montafon]], to which the village historically belonged. The water mill wheel symbolises the old watermills, used for milling and sawing, as well as the present hydro-electrical power plant.
