History: First formed in 1942 at Naval Air Station Norfolk, Virginia, USA. Reformed at Royal Naval Air Station Eglinton with Grumman Hellcats and served with HMS Ocean asa radar-equipped Night Fighter Squadron 1945-1946. It finally reformed in 1969 at Royal Naval Air Station Yeovilton flying Phantoms until disbanded in 1978.

NO 892 SQUADRON, FAA

History: First formed in 1942 at Naval Air Station Norfolk, Virginia, USA. Reformed at Royal Naval Air Station Eglinton with Grumman Hellcats and served with HMS Ocean asa radar-equipped Night Fighter Squadron 1945-1946. It finally reformed in 1969 at Royal Naval Air Station Yeovilton flying Phantoms until disbanded in 1978.
