OBERRAD

State : Hessen
Incorporated into : 1900 Frankfurt am Main

Wappen von Oberrad/Arms (crest) of Oberrad
Official blazon
German In Rot ein silbernes oberhalbes Rad.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms are based on the seal of Oberrad from 1629. The arms are canting, Oberrad means 'upper wheel', the arms thus show the upper half of a wheel.

The colours of the shield are not known. They were shown in 1956 in the colours of Frankfurt.
