Wappen von Bardenberg/Arms (crest) of Bardenberg
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The lion is taken from the arms of the Counts of Jülich, as until the 18th century the village was part of the Jülich county. The mining-tools symbolise Bardenbergs tradition as a mining-town. The trefoils symbolise agriculture. The harp is derived from the name (Barde means singer) although the original name has other origins.
