Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on ??

The green field with the silver bend refers to the Rhein river and the Prussian Rheinprovinz, in which the village was situated. The black cross is the symbol of the State of Köln, to which the area historically belonged. The anchor refers to the shipping an harbour. The base shows the former important inn, the Schwanenburg.
