Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted on October 17, 1995.
The arms are those of the family De Créquy. This family, now extinct, is known from the 10th century as an important family in the region. They took their name from this village which owes its name to the blackthorns, or wild plum trees (créquiers or crétcheus in Picard) abundant in the hedges which surround it, and which gave the name to this typical charge which resembles a candlestick, like a seven-leaf tree.
