JETTENBACH

State : Rheinland-Pfalz
District (Kreis) : Kusel
Verbandsgemeinde : Verbandsgemeinde Lauterecken-Wolfstein (until 2014 Verbandsgemeinde Wolfstein)

Wappen von Jettenbach (Pfalz)/Arms (crest) of Jettenbach (Pfalz)
Official blazon
German In Grün ein silberner Schräglinkswellenbalken, oben rechts eine goldene Lyra, unten links ein goldenes Ährenbüschel (Wiesenlolch).
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on April 21, 1967.

The bend and the wheatear are canting symbols; the word Jetto or Getto is an old German word for a wheat ear (Ähernbuschel), whereas Bach means brook, river. The lyre is a symbol for the fact that the village is known as a village for musicians.

Literature: Debus, 1988
