  • (fi) Sinisessä kentässä vedenhaltia pitäen oikeassa kädessään kalaa ja vasemmassa apilanlehteä; kaikki hopeaa.
  • (sv) I blått fält en triton hållande i högra handen en fisk, i den vänstra ett klöverblad; allt av silver.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on June 19, 1954.

The triton is derived from the arms of the Numers family, who played a major role in the local history. At the same time the triton is a symbol for sailing and shipping. The fish and trefoil symbolise fishing and agriculture.
