Origin/meaning
The fleur-de-lis is a symbol for St. Joseph, the star for St. Mary. The lower symbol, IHS, is the Monogram of the name of Jesus, and refers to the Society of Jesus (Jesuits), and is a tribute of gratitude to Pope Francis who chose me for the episcopate (and who is a Jesuite).
The white and blue colors also refer to Maria. For the privilege of his Immaculate Conception is represented by the color white in the Carmelite tradition and by the blue in the Franciscan.
