Stema Ormeniș

Official blazon

Un scut triunghiular cu marginile rotunjite, tăiat. În partea superioară, în câmp de argint, se află două dealuri verzi. Pe dealul din dreapta broșează o creangă de pelin de argint, iar pe cel din stânga se află un buchet de colilii de aur. În partea inferioară, în câmp albastru, se află un zid crenelat de aur. Scutul este timbrat de o coroană murală de argint cu un turn crenelat.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on August 15, 2015.

The feather grass refers to he local legend of the little girl killed by the Tartars, on whose grave this flower grows. The wormwood branch refers to the Hungarian dialect of the locality, Urmos.

The wall represents the important Dacian forstresses from Tipia Ormenișului (sanctuary and settlement).

The mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.
