ȘIRIA

District/county (județ) : Arad

Stema Șiria

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on March 20, 2013.

The base symbolizes the medieval fortress of Șiria.

The bunches of grapes represent the viticultural richness of the area.

The sword symbolizes the historical act of the capitulation of the revolutionary army in front of the tsarist troops in 1849.

The feather-pen refers to the writer Ioan Slavici, born in the municipality.

The mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.
