Origin/meaning

The arms of Buschhütten were granted on June 20, 1939.

The upper part shows a hammermill, a symbol for the iron industry in the village. Already in 1452 iron industry is mentioned in the village. For 400 years a water-powerd hammer mill operated in the village. The lower part shows a horn, the symbol of the Amt Ferndorf, to which the municipality belonged.

Literature: Meijer, 1940
